You can never start too early with man overboard practice. The great nieces, Fiona and Samantha Lovegrove, with their mum, Jen, at the pool on the South side of Edinburgh. I keep telling them that the Caribbean will be warmer.

PS I hope that Angie, the swimming teacher, will teach hull scrubbing techniques at the next class.

Lovely to hear of baby swimming. I retell the story of your instructor in the Penzance pool who had a crippled hand which bent back some of the fingers of his right hand. Aged five or six and well able to swim, you spent some time before obeying his instructions, in adjusting your right hand to equate with his, neither he nor I could work out how to correct you without offending him.
