At Anchor: Savusavu, Fiji

Slowed down to arrive when it got light. Last night we had the decked washed by rain which was good. The bad news was the humidity very high and so the crew were not as fresh as the decks despite a shower earlier in the day. Derek on Kalida was there to guide us in. Waitui Marina organised the check in with the authorities which was all complete by mid day.

    Hello Mary and David,
we are (again) lurking a bit on your site. Lots of work you have done in NZ, but with pretty good results. Somehow it seems that your original schedule has been reworked and you wont be back in 2011. :-) Good for you.
BTW, while you are at Vanua Levu you could easily visit Michael. He and Kendra are running a small business with and for the locals, producing LED lights for boats. Perhaps you would need something?? His office is in Savusavu and the shop in Fawn Harbour. Link below. Say hi from me.

    Thanks for the interest.

Met Michael and Kendra. Kendra runs the Waitui Marina here in Savusavu. Michael is sorting out an anchor light for us. Will say hi for you when we get ashore.

Hi to all on board. Good to hear you are on your way again. I love to see the pics of your adventures and am very impressed by the culinary delights I noticed on the slideshow Was it Andrew’s Greek style chicken liver dish? Looks like we are on for Alan’s retirement Springtime 2011 so will need to check your expected whereabouts then or maybe the Autumn. Love to you from
    all of us.
