Looking Pretty

July 7th, 2010 · 3 Comments

Deck and cabin paint now complete.  Windows are in and Giselle looks like a yacht again.  It will be many years since she looked as good.

Scaffolding is away and all the stern fittings are back – boarding ladder and windpilot etc.  Teak to the coamings and the seats is going on but process is slow.  Launch now looks like week of 19th of July.

The rebuild of the furling gear for the genoa was complete yesterday and all the bits are on site to complete the mast work.

We have painted some 130 litres onto Giselle.  A lot by roller, a lot by spray and a l lot by brush – we have worn out 2 radiator brushes we use for hard to get to places!

Getting excited at the prospect of sailing again.
