At Anchor.  Straight into visiting the town to get signed in with the gendarmerie.  Had the other boats in our SSB net on board for drinks – Scott and Cindy from Beach House and Steve, Kathleen and Emmett from Uliad.

Tomorrow it is the fruit and veg market at 08:00 and then a music festival.  Paul Gaugin Museum will have to wait to Monday!

I sense doing the Marquesas is going to be hard going!  Looking forward to the challenges!

We’re following you all the way. Checked out the passages in “World Cruising Routes” Congratulations on reaching this milestone. We’re sure that you will be up to the “challenges” of the Marquesas.

    David,

Congratulations to you and your wife. A real marathon of a leg. Steady with the public praise for the first mate for spotting the squals though – your ancestors would not approve! I have just plotted all the points on Google Earth – wow ! Hope you have a great few weeks enjoying the fruits of your hard work.

    Regards

    Ian
