Inishbofin

July 21st, 2008 · 2 Comments

David: Great sail from Mayo Sailing Club, close to Westport to Inishbofin last night. Fresh fish for supper. Definitely the plan. Rebecca and friends Camy and Peden onboard. They caught the fish in the morning.

It was hard work coming down from Oban. Wind on the nose and the seas got really big in Donegal bay. Pleased to report no damage to Giselle but we did have green water in the cockpit.

You could at least have waited for Biscay before starting tall stories from the High Seas 😉 Glad to hear that nothing has broken. Any sign of Tropical Storm Bertha yet?

    Dear Mary,
Have just enjoyed looking at the departure and hope all is going well and you are enjoying the first part of the adventure! It sure beats recuperation, out of hospital two days and bored already! I’ll keep up to date with your trip and wish you both all the best on the high seas.
